Multicultural Dinner
Global Cuisine and Arts were on the menu at Brian Coyle Center’s Multicultural Dinner, February 5th.
Brian Coyle Center was transformed into an international café and performance center for an estimated 300 neighbors from the Cedar-Riverside community at a high energy and festive Multicultural Dinner held Thursday, February 5th. The event was provided at no cost, courtesy of donations from area businesses, individuals and organizations.
A global buffet style meal was served complete with foods representing Ethiopia, Greece, Somalia, Latin America, Korea and Vietnam. Theatre, poetry and spoken word performances entertained patrons throughout the meal.
Event sponsors included Children’s Health Clinics and Hospital, Augsburg College, People’s Center Health Services, and West Bank Community Development Center, with gift drawing prizes provided by Minnesota United Soccer, Seward Community Co-op, Medica, Deb Wolking, and CAPI.
